Palmtop User hasn't really departed has it?, I knew it's publication was erratic but I'd hate to see it go :o0

No problems so far with it. However, before I do the next backup I'd be grateful for the name of the files you deleted...

I've just had to do a soft reset as when connecting to download e-mails I got an error that it existed. I've had this in the past and a soft reset quickly solves the problem.
But then I've got to reset the System Screen layout and the switch off time from 30 minutes to the 3 minutes that I use.
So I thought I would try for the first time the Macro5 'Record macro...'
All I can do with this is to open any file, but not get to the System Screen.
Is this possible? Entering 'record' in the help provides no detail.

Which drive did you install it on? I see Astrid posted about not installing it on C. In ignorance I had installed mine on D (both 5mx and Mbook) and have never had a problem with it.
U Hornstein wrote re Sita Shop:

The tag on the bottom of my Mbook says:
Sita Multimedia SDN BHD
Suite B-05-11, Plaza Mont' Kiara
2 Jalan Kiara, Mont' Kiara
50480 Kuala Lumpur
Tel 03-6201 3116, Fax 03-6201-3163.
Don't know if that's up-to-date or not. bought my Mbook last year. I read somewhere on some forum that they were moving - whether physically or just their web site, can't remember.
As requested, I'm sending Hornstein a personal e-mail about this, but also post here because maybe others may be interested.

Hi Folks,
It's time for me to start thinking about a new phone again - and if I can make it a gadget phone great ! 3 seem to have the best tariff at the moment, and I am quite tempted by the A925. Does anybody have any experience with it?
I would get the extended battery straight away and a bluetooth headset. The only drawbacks I am aware of is that the phone can't be used as a modem at present with a laptop, and the browser is knobled to just looking at 3's pages.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatfully accepted.
Cheers for now,
John Wetton

Alan, thank you for pointing me towards this. It looks like a brilliant program, though so far I have not been brilliant enough to get it working. I have it installed on both the 5mx and the PC, but can't get either to recognise the serial connection.

Re.: Moonclock - Thanks for the explanation. I always install all software on my D-disk so I will give it a try. I can't say it is tremendoulsy useful but it might be nice to look at <G>.
Answer to: Alan Morris
Re.: Gold Card - You can do the same as with your mobile phone at much higher speed and at a much lower price. Instead of yor mobile you use a landline.
