Re

Hi Arne,

- Yes it's needed to UNwriteprotect the sis file to allow installing it; - You can prevent epoc from deleting the used sis file by :

Ctl Pannel (Ctl+s)/ Add-Remove/ Prefs (Ctl+p)...

Rolf,

as usual, you are wide of the mark. As you said, you were not "a fly on the wall". My explanation of the chain of events was kept deliberately brief, to avoid overloading the Digest with unnecessary details; if only you would learn that this is desirable. What I find absolutely astounding about what you write is:

a) the sheer volume

b) the total pretentiousness

c) the fact that while most of us either ask questions or provide answers, all you do is sit in judgement, patronise people and pick holes in what people have posted.

None of the above is constructive in the least, and is not helpful to anyone, other than yourself.

If you are unable to be more helpful and/or positive, then I politely request that you no longer reply to anything that I post.

Regards, Ian.

Hi Mike,

I think the name of the magazine is

"Psion Computer Journal". I paid £20 in

May this year for a subscription. I got

a confirmation from "Will Green"

that he had got the money and that he would send

Issue 2, release date 27th May

So far I have got NOTHING AT ALL.

Subject: Issue 2 - Why it's so late & what I'm doing about it

Dear Subscribers,

I am very embarrassed about the delay in completing & posting Issue 2 of The Psion Computer Journal, after my promised shipping dates have come and

gone - and still no Journal!

The reason for the delay is mainly due to the fact on the 5th of May I fell from a ladder and shattered my heal bone, and has caused me loads of problems. The other reason for the delay is lack of a proper working method for production of the magazine , so what am I going to do about it?

Firstly Ewan Spence has agreed to become sub-editor to help with production of the magazine in a more professional and ordered manner. The top priority we've established is getting the issues out on time!

Secondly I have set dedicated time during my working week for the magazine, rather than fit it in when I can. As the magazine   is obviously not my main employment I tend to get side tracked at it's expense.

Anyway - excuses over, the Issue 2 WILL BE SENT THIS WEEK.

Kind Regards and more apologies and thanks for you patience,

Will Green.

Subject: FreeNote 3.10 and 3.10c just released

Please note, that I have just posted to my website FreeNote 3.10 (with greyscale icon), and 3.10c(with colour icon).

In addition, this version adds to the menu 'extra tab set' which enables the extra set of 7 tabs to be easily used. (14 tabs in total). Previously, this function could only be used by Ctrl+PgUp and Ctrl+PgDn

Hi Folks,

I, like Mike Dyer, haven't received issue 2 of the Psion Computer Magazine.

I rather think Will has bitten off more than he can easily chew, and he was injured too. Issue 2 of Psion Computer Magazine is supposed to be much larger than issue 1. But issue 1 was quite big for a first issue. The second issue needn't be much larger, at least I don't think so.

I hope it comes out soon.

Happy days,

Phil.

Re.: Issue 2 Of Psion Computer Magazine - No, I did not yet receive it.

Answer to: Philip Bister

Re.: FreeNote v3.09 - What about a first release for Symbian OS ? Would it be very difficult to issue such a release ?

To ALL :

Re. Luach file - I have just completed the Agenda file with the Jewish Calendar for the year 5765 with details of the date, festivals and more. Please email me if you would like a copy. The file is made on a mBook and will open on an EPOC v.5 machine. There exists a program to translate it to series 3 agenda file but I forgot the name. You can also synchronise the file with Outlook and than synchronise Outlook with your Psion or other PDA, like all Symbian ones for example !!
