Subject: Bounced digests
Hi all,
today we had to state, that the digest #817 was bounced 75 (seventy five!) times with the remark "listed in http://dsbl.org". It seems, that dsbl.org now includes my provider GSM in its blacklist.
To avoid further bouncing I would like to ask all you, to write my address, which I use for relaying the digest,
<address truncated>
in the white list of allowed addresses.
If you don't get the digest, contact us (email to digest with ADMIN in the subject). So we can solve the problem together with your provider.
With best regards

David,
I had this problem a year ago. I believe that it may be caused either by the sheer size of the file, or (in my case) the number of attached notes which I use extensively. My solution was to load the Psion Emulator onto my PC and open the file there. I then archived the earlier entries (using a date that reduced the file size by about
half), and then transfered the two resulting agenda files back onto my Psion. I can now access all the entries - but in two files.....
Hope this works for you. BTW, I think the emulator is still on the Psion site somewhere....

Subject: A *_huge_* agenda file!
Hi Folks,
David, if your Agenda file is over 6 megabytes it really belongs on a CF card - and how.
If you move it to a CF card (thus freeing that much RAM) you might be able to open it. If you can, delete/archive anything you can straight away. Even if that does materially reduce the size you should split the file into at least two separate files as you suggest.
That is an *_enormous_* Agenda file and you may never be able to open it on the Psion - but you may be able to using the emulator.
If none of that works you’ll have to use a desktop editor and/or a PC synchronisation to put the entries manually into a new Agenda file. I know it’s a pain but I’m afraid those are the only options.
Such an enormous Agenda file was bound to cause problems eventually. I found one reference to this (obscure too) on page 87 of the manual, *“Tidying” an Agenda file*, where it says you should *tidy the Agenda on a regular basis to stop the file from getting too large*.
Your alternative is not to have such a busy or complicated life.

Answer to: David G. Margetts
Re.: Agenda file - unable to open - My Agenda file is only 254 Kb so if it is correct what you write your file is huge and that sooner or later does creates problems. First question is, do you have a back-up from before the problem started ? If so, restore the back-up and take it from there. If not, try to compact the file with one of the available programs for this. If that does not do the trick, you can try and open a new Agenda file and than import the old file into the new file. This sometimes solves this particular problem.
Once you will have solved the problem I very strongly suggest you tidy up your Agenda file and bring it back to more manageable proportions. I would not go above 1 Mb.

Hi David
I cannot open my agenda file. When I try to it presents the message box "Information Not enough memory"
Perhaps if you download and install Stephen Goldsmith's "Reclaim" utility from FreEPOC www.FreEPOC.org (I think), compress the agenda file and perhaps it will be small enough to open. If it works you won't look any data. Todd
