>>1 I know it comes with a wireless GPS unit but can the application be used without this i.e. can you just plan a route from street to street without using the GPS, just like on Street Planner?
Yes. Use menu option, 'Advanced planning'.
>>2 I believe the maps and app are pre-loaded onto a 128Mb MMC. Presumably these can simply be copied onto a larger MMC to avoid hot-swapping cards every time you want to use the app? Exactly how much space do all the maps and application take up? Is it just one huge map of the UK or is it like Route Planner - having a long list of areas and
Whole of the UK in 128MB and you can stick it on a corner of a 1GB card, like me 8-)

Just a quick plug that I've revived PocketInfo with lots and lots of Nokia 9500 spreadsheets and documents. All free, as usual, Communicator users in here are welcome to pop round.

Subject: YData
Hi All
Kevin Thorne wrote of his problem using YData:
<The next job was importing my data from comma-delimited text file. Now,
this does work, as I can prove, but it should be noted that YData is
fussy about any import files - all lines of text have to have the full
complement of quoted fields.>
Steve Litchfield replied:
»No, no, the point was that the fields all had to be there. They can
still be empty.
E.g. "","","","","" is fine. 8-)
Still, Ydata *is* still a bit fussy and buggy generally. If you have
problems, can I urge you to contact Yellow and complain. They were
basically ignoring me at the Smartphone Show and seemed disinterested in
consumers, concentrating on their new company stuff. 8-( «
I gave up on trying to import into YData. I have used it to create some new databases, but found it too much hassle to use to import the data from my Psion to the 9500.
A few months ago Epocware had a 90% discount on their software and I bought a copy of Powerdata. Although this is over complicated and too much like Ms-Access (which is also over complicated), I bought a copy and the great part is that you can import data from .CSV files without having to define the fields before hand. For this function it is very easy to use.
Regards
Max

Answer to: Kevin Thorne
Re.: more onWi-Fi - You should be able to add computers to your WIFI network at home without resetting the complete system. I can't help you but try and find someone that has knowledge about these matters in your circle of friends or family, it should be an easy matter.
Just to remind you, Streetplanner was divided in many areas, but Routeplanner had maps of complete countries only (I still use both).

Re.: My Psion does not work anymore... or does it? - It would help a lot if you would tell us which Psion you use .....

Subject: Re: WEP key retrieval
If your laptop is already set up with your router then you can go into the settings on your laptop to see what the WEP key is. Depending on which software your laptop is using to control the wifi card then you may be able to read the WEP key. In your tray you should see an icon for your wireless networking - try right clicking on this and selecting properties . Under security settings (or something similar) there should be a slot containing your WEP key - if you're lucky this will be readable - if there are only asterisks in the slot then your luck is out. You could also try looking in your routers settings to see if the WEP key is readable - or if not you could set it to a new key that you can select yourself. Just login to your router and check the settings - most routers web pages are very easy to use. If you don't have the login details for your router  then your onl y remaining option is to do a hard reset on your router and to set it all up again with passwords and keys. Most recent routers boot up the first time you access them with a wizard that takes you through all the settings and passwords/keys etc very quickly and easily.</SPAN></div>
