Subject: ToDoList-unCrossing all entries
IS there a way to UNcross all entries in a ToDoList view at the same time?
Also has anyone experienced a glitch in Data whereby if the 1st item is a Yes/No type entry then whenever it is updated between Yes & No the change is not recognised - it only works if the Yes/No question is the 2nd or later question in a data entry

Subject: Psion 5mx - routeplanner with GPS - what do I need?
Hi,
I have a Psion series 5mx and am very happy wih it, it's much better than the pen driven PDA's most of my colleagues seem to be using. Many even buy the extra keyboard just to get similar functionality to my 6 year old machine.
I would like to get a routeplanner with GPS on this machine though. Unfortunately, I'm quite new to the whole Psion game so I don't know what to look for out there on eBay. I hear there's something called routeplanner? What would you guys recommend - I'd really like one that comes with the GPS in the box so I don't have to try and source a compatible GPS unit too. So help, what am I looking for? Also, are the maps for these software still updated? Or perhaps one can convert the map updates from something current into Psion format? I guess I'm asking for a HOWTO on navigation for the 5mx..
Cheers,
Kevin

Subject: 9500 screen blanking
Does anyone know of a way to stop the 9500's screen blanking out after
10 minutes with the screen saver? I used to have a program on the 5mx
(Psilight) that checked if it was connected to a power supply, and
overruled the screen saver. I need something similar for the 9500.
Cheers,
Ray Upton

Re.: TomTom - Sorry, cannot help you. However, at least you have got the TomTom mobile 5 program. I looked at the website of TomTom and it says 5 weeks delivery time. I looked at the various agents / retailers and no-one seems to have it in their program as yet. Do you have any idea where one can buy this program

Subject: Something Strange & SE K750i
Something Strange:
I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this: my Psion netBoook sometimes stops playing sounds including the screen clicks when I switch it on. After sometime (always varying) and not through any action, the sound comes back. I have done a very hard reset and then restored all the files but nothing changed. For the rest of the day after the reset everything was OK, then after switching it on later, the should was gone again. In about 5 to 10 minutes of use the sound came back!
Has anybody else heard of this and is there anything I can do about it?

SE K750i:
For some time now I have been reticent to upgrade my SE T68i as it worked perfectly with my netBook, however with a free upgrade and a 14 day return I decided there was nothing to loose so I upgraded. I then set to testing the functions of the phone with my netBook and PhoneMan Pro. I first tried e-mailing using the phone as the IR modem - worked fine; then sending an SMS via PhoneMan, I was surprised when PhoneMan reported finding a K750 so that worked fine. Reading SMSs from the phone also worked. Then reading the contacts from the SIM also worked. The only function that I have used that did not work was reading the contacts from the phone itself! So for what I use it for, the K750i works as well as the T68i with my Psion! Also, the K750i is a great phone and with plBeam I can happily transfer files back and forth with the phone!

Subject: GPRS TOMTOM
Hi all
I am a 9500 user, who is desperately trying to get either always-on-mail or MailX. push email programmes to work with it via GPRS. I can connect to the web fine via GPRS and browse, but niether app will connect with my mail box via GPRS they will via normal dial up, am I missing something really silly?
With Mailx I get a timed out message when I try to update my details, but in the Nokia connection manager screen, I am connected and I get a data recieved & Sent reading.
With Alwaysonmail the screen say connection is working correctly, but I never down load any mail. If I change connection to Dial up the mail comes in as and when I recieve one.
Has any other 9500 user got either of these applications working?
Kevin Thorne wrote As I no longer tend to have my Psion S7 with me (my 9500 is now my
constant companion) loaded with Palmtop's Route Planner and Street
Planner 99 I am now toying with the idea of getting the modern version
of these excellent route planning applications to use with my 9500.
Although I won't need GPS naviagtion very often it could be useful
occasionally so I find I am looking at Tom Tom's Mobile 5 as an option.
Tomtom on the 9500 it does sort of work without a GPS reciever connected but with very limited functions.
You need to go to Advanced Planning, select your route and then you can view the route. Zooming is not in the TOM TOM menu you need to use standard Chr + up or down arrows or Chr and the jog dial.
You can easily fit the programme onto a bigger MMC card, the only slightly tricky bit is if you try & copy the whole disc contents accross, as your own card will already have a system folder on it, just copy the two folders TTMOBILE & TTNAVCONTACTS to the D/System/Apps folder
If space is at a premium you, could always delete a few of the voices in the voices folder at 33 MB I think 62 different voices is a bit OTT.
I have TOMTOM citymaps on my Nokia but if I try to zoom or plan a route of more than about a mile it exits the programme with error message KERN EXIT reason 3 has anyone else got this app working correctly.
Sorry for the long post
Ashley
