Subject: 9500, 5mx, and Road
Dear Moshe
I also was worried about the keyboard on the 9500 when I bought and for 6 months after I continued to use my 5mx when I had to take notes in meetings, which is everyday.
I then bought a freedomkeyboard.com bluetooth keyboard and my problems have been solved. I have not used my 5mx for the past 3 months and the 9500 has become a real replacement. There are many advantages, not the least the integrated phone, colour screen, small size, proper and very reliable link to the PC, decent sound (including Ogg Vorbis), etc, etc.
In my experience the screen size and lack of touch screen are not a problem as the bright colour screen and buttons and software overcome these. I don't think you will be making a mistake in buying the 9500 which is supported by the largest manufacturer of mobile phones in the world - which means that there is ongoing support for it.
Regards
Max

Subject: Psion 5mx and Nokia9550
Hello,
After several years using a Psion, I am currently playing with a Nokia9500 ;
not to bad, but so many features are missing ! Can anybody help me for the
following question :
I have three different large lists of name-adress-telephone on my PC (spreadsheet
or tabulated format) ; transferring these lists to the Psion and browsing them with
the "telephone directory" application is easy ;
How can I do the same on the 9500 ? ;
Alternatively does anyone know of a third-party application which would run on
the 9500 and mimick the features of the Psion "telephone directory" application ?
Thank you very much.

Subject: 9500 vs. 5mx
To Martin Maxwell Harnevie,
>the 9500 is a fantastic machine. But it's not a replacement for the 5mx.
Could you perhaps indicate what exactly you mean? In what features and/or functions is the 5mx superiour to, or different from, the 9500?
>As I'm quite interested in this as well I will contact them.
If you have contacted them (R.O.A.D.), could you let us know what you have learned? I emailed them quite a while ago. After weeks they responded very briefly, in effect merely summerrizing the message on their Web site, i.e., that the ROAD pda will become available in 2006, Q1. A highly unenlightening message!

Subject: Itamar's contacts (again!)

Re. Moving contacts from P910i - When I started using this phone I moved all my contact details to this phone and never synchronised it with any other computer. This means that my client base of my photography business is all on the P910i. My question : Is it possible to export these data to another format or another computer in order to print labels from these contact to send out mail to all my clients ? The contacts file has got all my contacts in it, private, dayjob clients and photo clients, internally separated in folders within the database. <<<
Did you try any of my suggestions in Digests 779 and 781? You said in 782 that you had tried an alternative way involving maunal data manipulation and that this resulted in a file that you couldn't open. Knowing from your response in 780 that you do have access to Outlook, I'd still say this is your best option.
