Yes, I remember trying out MyCar on my 5mx, but, it did not have an export option. It is not available for the 9500. Also, it is no longer on the Freeepoc site, but is on http://www.pscience5.net
On the 9500, I have also tried:
1) Fuel Consumption, which is quite a good java app. available from www.omikron-games.com in Croatia. Unfortunately, it does not have any export options.
2) FuelLog for Series 80, which is a good OPL shareware app. from www.martin-dehler.de This program has a very nice split screen for presenting the info on each fill and it does have an export option, but it gives the consumption in miles per litre. Even though I buy my fuel in litres and Euro, I still think in MPG!

Martin

Arjen has indicated on the FreeEpoc forums that he is working on this. Fingers crossed!

Can you please let us know which BT keyboard you use and which drivers are required, as from other discussion groups I have seen that there seems to be some problems in setting up a BT keyboard with the 9500.

Subject: Busy view
hi, I wish this contribution to appear in the Digest forum, but this is maybe a wrong way of getting it there. So, plz help me to present it if wrong.
An essential lacking in the Calendar in 9500 is the Busy view for 3-4 weeks ahead, it has only a single week planner. The Busy view covering 3-4 weeks was in the Calendar function for the netBook. Anyone who knows if this feature is available for the 9500? If not so, can the right people in Nokia please make this an option for future Calendars in 9500/9300? This is a tremendously practical working tool for planners - and we are all planners! Some in much more degree than others!

Subject: - RE: printing and 25 reasons why I will continue to rely on the Psion Series 5mx for at least another two decades Reply to: Charles Davies
Hi Charles,
I wasn't aware of the unique position of the Psions as regards direct printing. I'm a bit surprised if that's the case. But you might be perfectly right! I have sort of always taken it for granted that every PDA can print.
BTW, I upgraded early this year from a Canon BJC-85 to a Canon i80, both supporting printing from the Psion over Infrared. Unfortunately the i80 has a scaling problem when using Andrew Johnson's drivers (http://www.aps.anl.gov/~anj/bjc80/).
Kind regards

Subject: Diabetes monitoring programs
Hi Folks,
I was recently diagnosed as diabetic (Type 2) so I decided to try the few programs for monitoring blood for diabetics. “GlucoMon” (FreEPOC) seems OK.
I compared it to “Insulin+”, but that expired (even when registered, illicitly as licit registration is now impossible) on the 1st of January, 2005. “Diabetes Manager” has apparently been withdrawn in favour of a Nokia-only version - and the ER5 version apparently requires me to simplify (drastically) my intro screen.
Neither “Insulin+” nor “Diabetes Manager” seem to actually *do* any more than “GlucoMon” but offer reams of advice that is better supplied by medical people or the charity Diabetes UK <http://www.diabetes.org.uk/> (and there are equivalents for other countries). “GlucoMon” seems both simpler and as effective.
But I was told I should keep a log of blood pressure as well as blood sugar levels (I can now measure both) and none of these programs can do that.
The easiest way to do this (according to the hospital diabetes doctor) is to use a simple spreadsheet with the date down the side and the time of day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper) across the top. For each date there should be two rows, one for blood pressure and one for blood sugar (which should be measured before a meal and two hours after it).
In my case I usually have to do this only once a day each, but at different times each day. Gradually I should build up a record from which any trends, adverse or benign, can be deduced - that’s the theory.
I hope my recent experience is useful to others (or even another). I keep the record on my 3c as that’s the beast that will go into hospital with me if necessary, that’s the one that goes to Sainsbury’s and the town with me and the spreadsheet on that is more suitable than the one on my 5mx.
I might, as an experiment, try to implement this in PsiDat but I’ll probably keep it as just an experiment.
Happy days,
Phil.
