While I did not want to censor the digest in light of past experiences I would like the writers kindly to withhold general statements like "they don't have humor". I think it is unkind and unnecessary in our digest. I trust you can agree.
Also, sorry for mistyping the digest number in my last message.
With best regards

When you're at the Pulster web site, click on "Serie 5" in the left column. That'll open up a sub-list. Click on "Stifte" (I won't make a joke about that). There, you'll find the stylus.

Germans don't have a sense of humour. But I think you are correct Peter.
But by 2010, we could see the re-invention of decent pocket computers!

I would greatly appreciate if you would indeed post the instructions listed
below.
If not possible can you send privately to<address truncated>

Subject: MochaPPP
As an aside, I have now written down detailed descriptions for how to send
and receive email on a Psion using both a conventional dialup ISP account
and a broadband account - mainly so that if I ever lose the settings I won't
have to re-invent them. Would anyone wish me to post these instructions to
The Digest, for general information? The headings are:
C. Mobile Connections to Email accounts
Broadband Account
Set up e-mail account
Retrieving e-mail
Sending e-mail
Dialup Account
Set up e-mail account
Retrieving e-mail

Germans have no humour by law :) - the PuPsi Edition is a picture of a
prototype. I already got some serious orders. I will call later Sir
Potter for proposing him the launch of this gadget.
Sorry about my German descriptions in the Psion shop pulster.de - I can
not find any working online translation service.
Just send me a email for any questions or orders.

Subject: Error installing Macro5, Pupsi, Aironet 340, Internet connection problem,
Answer to: Victor Warner
Re.: Error installing Macro5 - Macro 5 worked for me on my S5, S5MX, S7 and now on my mBook so it is most probably a matter of setting it up correctly. Can you pleae advise us at what stage you get this error ? Is it during the installation or afterwards ? Do you try to install it (or have installeds) to the intenal drive or the CF ? Please give us as much details as possible.
Answer to: Peter Julian
Re.: Pupsi - Looks great, would be a killer machine, just the price seems to be a little too high ..... ? <BG>
Answer to: Chris Cooper
Re.: Aironet 340 - Looking at my settings leave the hostname to "default" and leave the SSID blank. This works for me. If not, try a hard reset (it is a PITA I know). David, I use also the Cisco Aironet card too that came with the mBook.
Answer to: Peter
Re.: Internet connection problem - Could it be battery power of MC218 ? Maybe at home you have it connected to the mains and therefore do not have the problem ?

Hiya
back on the digest after a sabbatical...
I've decided to get my netpad working again so I can make use of all these free/cheap wireless access points that are everywhere these days. In the time since I last set this up my neighbours have also gone wireless and my house is now served by three networks!
How do I convince the netpad to ignore the neighbours networks and only attempt to log onto mine? I've tried setting the names the same but this doesn't seem to work.

I have just upgraded to a 9300 and have downloaded anew stuff I
bought for the 5mx. I must say I find Mobireader very frustrating.
There is no single shortcut for a string search. Each file - in my
case, dictionaries - seems to have a different menu command - and no
keyboard shortcut.
I have bought the Mobi version of the Britannica - pretty impressive
but it has no links so if you want to cross reference you have to do
very slow searches.
On the Revo I find the TR version of the Oxford Concise very
practical. But then, I have a 24 mb Revo - on it's last legs.
Best
Tim
