Re.: 1MB ??? - Ok, so I was tired and wrote 1 Mb when meaning 1,000 Mb which is 1 Giga. Sorry.

Re.: Nokia 9300i vs SE P990 - Well, if you have a good working phone at the moment it should not be a problem to wait until the new P990 will be available. Persoanlly I think the phones are different concepts and you should decide which concept is best for you. Again personally I prefer the smaller size phone as long as I have the mBook to accompany it with all it's familiar and well functioning software, the phone being a phone, diary and database with email as an easy option while traveling, leaving the emails in the remote inbox for late downloading on my mBook. It is also my entertainment machine with games, films, music, etc. But if you want a one machine solution with a workable keyboard instead of a thumbboard than a Nokia would be a better option. Decide what option is best for you and accordingly decice on what model to get. For what it is worth, personally I decided not to upgrade at all as my P910 works very well and fulfills my needs. I invested in quite a lot of software which I would have to purchase again for the new platform.

Re.: Nokia 9300i vs SE P990 - Concerning "the application persistence" this is true for some of the software but not all of it. Several third party programs (ProfiMail, Route 66 and Handy Day 2005 to mention 3) stay in the same position as when you leave them. My main problem with this matter is with the Contacts program where I find it a real PitA. As to the thumbboard, I also use the handwriting recognition a lot as well as the internal keyboard which now has got Hebrew as well for SMS messaging and other programs. I do have a foldable keyboard as well but use it mainly when traveling light, so light that even my mBook does not get a place in my luggage.

One factor in this comparison which is likely to sway my decision in the favour of the 9300i is the availability of OPL for this device. Many people who actively use OPL on the Psions might also weight this in as a factor.
The future of OPL for Symbian OS v8 and v9 is still very uncertain. The 9300i is still on v7.
