Subject: Psion donations to Owen
Hello list members,
in digest 943, there were several offers of Psion donations to Owen. I forwarded this digest to Owen's mother. I think that Owen will soon have the time to consider these nice offers. Until then I will continue to forward other eventual offers from this list to him.
Owen got his new passport and will arrive today (Friday) in Norway and meet his family.

Subject: RE: 9300/9500
Hi Timothy,
Funny you should have seen that I'm sure mine had it for a while but it went away on it's own. I couldn't find anything about it either!
Is there a way of printing from the 9500 if you don't have an HP printer i.e. like the Psion print via pc.
Also I made up two documents in word with an embedded spreadsheet as epoc apps but the 9500 now says it has no application that can open them. What is going on?
Re contacts files I had no problems removing the unwanted files after synching them across from outlook. Could they be on the sim and protected there?
Cheers Jon Welford

Subject: regarding bounced mails # 945_1

a completely innocent email of mine to a group of friends was marked as "spam". Mails I become from various mailing-lists get labelled as spam in Entourage. My suspicion is that too many successive blanks in the body, non-letter glyphs are considered suspicious. I you don't mind, as far as I'm concerned this (off)topic could remain here...
best,

RFC 2822 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2822.html) beschreibt allgemein
From:-Eintrag nicht richtig.

Re.: Adam's Hitchiker's Guide - Was my English not clear or were you joking ? Of course I meant to send the answer to the digest so the other 700 subscirbers can read it in the digest .... anyhow, I did not castigate anyone, just thought it wise to mention it.

Subject: Owen
Hi all,
we got the b.m. mail from a subscriber concerning Owen's disaster.
We still don't want to censor the digest, but we want to ask you to bear in mind this message and to contact Owen
directly about further donations of hardware or money.
Thank you for your understanding

Hello Rolf,
It's a sad story about Owen, but I understand that the digest team will not or can't censor the messages into the digest. But I don't see the value of such item into the digest for the ER-OS community.
I thought that the digest is a news letter or a question letter for our Epoc OS.
How to treat such personal items is a principal question for the digest team.
I don't know who Owen is, is he famous in the Epoc community? Sorry Rolf, but this is the way I see this item.
BTW. I read the last digest, now I know a little bit more about Owen, but today it's Owen tomorrow it's an other one, so where is the end?
Talk with the digest team, about Owen and my standpoint and make your principal choice if the digest team put such items in the digest or not.
Regards,
Kees vd Straten.
