Subject: Replace All at the 9500?
Hi 9500-ies,
one of the bugs in the Word and OPL apps of the 9500 is the lacking in the "Replace All" function.
Do knows somebody a solution for that?
Any hints would be appreciated.

Hi Itamar,
I guess you are installing it from a pc? This is an s7 bug either copy the file to the s7 and install from there or delete all files relating to the instal. it hangs as it is unable tell it has deleted the existing files to copy the new ones. if I remember rightly you can exit the instal , restart it and it will go on till it comes to the next file it needs to delete - it hangs again so abort and restart A bit tedious. It does the delete but doesn't seem to know it has and hangs.

Routeplanner problem
This has always been an issue when installing over a piece of software already completely or partially installed. Remove the map from the Psion using add/remove, then reinstall & the checking dependencies will not occur

Itamar,
This is a known problem with installing any sis file from the PC to the Series 7. The 5mx and netBook do not, as far as I know, suffer from this problem. On the maps, I used to install the program on to my 5mx and then transfer to the Series 7's compact flash. Later, I found out how to extract the map files into sis files and then transfer those to the Series 7 and then install from there. Now, even with the netBook, I always transfer any sis file to the psion and install from there. RoutePlanner, I think has its maps in separate sis files on the CD where as CityMaps does not. All you need to do is find the right sis file on the Routeplanner CD and store it on a CF card and install directly on the Series 7.
Hope this solves your problem.
David

I don't know what causes the problem, but this might help:
First try to remove the map using Configuration -> Software (if the map appaers in the software list).
If that's not possible, try to manually delete the map in de folder C: (or D: or...)\System\Apps\EnRoute\<NAME OF THE MAP>
AND delete C: (or...)\System\Install\<NAME OF THE MAP>.sis.
This System\Install\ map is where Configuration->Software takes a look to see what apps (and maps) are installed.
If that all doesn't work, simply manually copy the map from a back-up into the folder C: (or...)\System\Apps\EnRoute\. Copying always works for maps.
Hope that helps
