Subject: Batteries for Revo -- again, sorry

hello, *

I saved the address several months ago, but now I can't find it anywhere, so
please, once again:

I have a Revo, and the batteries seem to need replacement.
I live in Germany, near the Dutch border, so any address in Germany or Holland
would be OK.  I remember having seen a link in Germany.

Thanks in advance,

Subject: Contacts/iContacts

* I have iContacts on both my nB and 5mx. I'm usually using the nB. Whenever I make * any changes in iContacts, I copy both Contacts (C:\System\Data) and iContacts
* (C:\Documents) to the other machine after a Backup to the PC. While making the
* backup I notice on occasion, about once every 5th time I do this, that one or the
* other, or both, do not backup.

* When I notice this, I've taken to creating a new fake contact in iContact, save it,
* then delete it. Both then appear during the backup procedure.

* Has anyone else had this problem? Is there some fix for this?

Hello Keith,

How do you backup?
On the normal way or do you put the CF-card into the PC.
If you backup in the normal way, is it a possibility that PsiWin can't close iContact?
If so, close iContact before the backup.

Regards,
Kees.

Hi Itamar

Not quite what you described in requiring a database for your photographic work, but maybe ProjXpert would help.  It seems to me you could set up each job as a project and this application can certainly be linked to your agenda.

Hi Alberto, and welcome to the community

Others may have posted ahead of me, but I would suggest the following websites for Psion material to start with (For speed, I'm listing just the names that a quick Google will link you to)

Pscience5
freEPOC
epoczone
bioeddie

Good hunting

Answer to: Alberto Sousa Soares

Re.: Psion information - As you might know the Psion's are not produced anymore for quite some time and the official Psion website and most other relating websites have either disappeared or are totally out of date. Your best bet is most probably "www.pscience5.net" where you will find a lot of information and catalogues of the available programs. Most programs ever written you can download from this website.

Congratulations on issue 1000, keep up this wonderful site.

With some users leaving to different pastures, would it be possible to create a section for those looking to trade/sell the various parts and or machines they've accumulated.

I am in particular looking for a personality module to convert my S7 to a Netbook, and also a Netbook complete.

I can offer a new MC218 (English)

Re: Contacts/iContacts

I use iContacts on my MC218 and Diamond Mako. I keep them in sync with EpocSync (http://www.freepoc.org/viewapp.php?id=38) and do not experience the issue you describe.

I wonder if PsiWin backup is not backing up the file(s) because it does not see that they changed? (and I wonder why it would not see that they changed)

Maybe if you experiment with the Archive options (Number of file versions to archive) it might give you some clue or, check the time/date modified information (on the EPOC device) for the files before each backup.

I assume that you are closing down the files before each backup and I think that PsiWin backup closes them down automatically anyway.

For what it is worth, EpocSync seems to have no issue with the time stamps on the iContacts database (or any other time stamp that I can see).

I am an Outlook synchronizer myself and I try to always enter and delete contacts through iContacts so that the changes are effected in the iContacts database. If I make the additions or deletions in Outlook, the Contacts database on my MC218 will update but the iContacts database will not and will require update & repair.
