DCALC might do it for you. It was originally written by Bob Hepple and I recompiled it as freeware after he had released the sources. You'll find it on http://www.mvcsys.de/download.

I can recommend you Morzila Thunderird.
Peter work safe and don't use the MS equipment, that's my
advice.
Furthermore I seldom use the web possibility of my netBook, because it's in my opinion very slow, for surfing on the Internet I use my PC all the other work
I do with my nB.

Subject: Windows 3.1/ER5 Devices
Hi, All,
I've resurrected a laptop using Windows 3.1 and has a serial port. I was hoping to synch an ER5 (Mako) machine via PsiWin 1.1 and a calendar app like
Lotus Organizer 1.0 or Schedule+ 1.0.
While I can connect a Mako via PsiWin 1.1, all of 1.1's file and agenda
converters are for SIBO machines.
Any another workaround to synch an ER5 device to a Windows 3.1 calendar
program?
Thanks,
Jake

Re.: Positive WiFi experience with 7Book - Thanks for the report. It is great it worked on a free wifi point, but unfortunately it is not always that easy. I tried it in an airport lounge in Germany and there was only a Wifi for payment. the problem was that in order to pay up the website required a windows set-up and would not accept my payment, neither in WEB nor in Opera. With a laptop I am in in seconds and just plug it into the mains to avoid teh battery to go flat. At home I use my netBook in the house on wireless all the time, great to have a connection wherever you want (...). However I hardly use it for surfing the net as I find it slow and cumbersome in comparison to a normal computer, even via wifi.

Re.: Finance calculator - Look at the website www.pscience5.net and look under applications where you will find amongst others DCalc. Over the years many were written. The P5 calculator also has a scientific calculator if that is what you need.

Re.: SE P990 - Thanks Craig, keep the reports coming about your experiences with this phone. Can you tell me how much TomTom 6 costs for the P990 and is it readily available ?

Subject: OSX sync with E-series
Hello everybody,
Please: does OS X 10.4.8 have built-in conduits to sync iCal and Addresses via iSync using BT for Nokia E Series?
I have seen comments on synching the E61 from Nokia, and I suspect that conduits for the E61 should also work for the E60 (same Symbian 9.1 kernel, same S60-3rd edition sitting on top).
If not, can somebody pls provide me with good links where to load plug-ins?
Are dangers of not preserving some info during transfers?
Thanks a lot,

Subject: Question for Mike Dyer (or other good Samaritan)
Hello Mike,
I sync without (other) problems in my Macbook, running OS X 10.4.8, entries in iCal and Addresses with a Palm TE2.
However, both synching via the usb port, or via Bluetooth, I loose the categories (work, personal, vacation, etc) that I have assigned both in iCal and in the Palm calendar on the receiving end. Categoris at least remain OK (thanks Heaven!) in the device in which they were entered.
From the Mac to the Palm, entries are mapped by default to "unfiled". From the Palm to the Mac, iSync asked me in which category I want to put incoming entries from the Palm. But I can select only one for all kind of entries I have on the Palm.
Any idea on how to preserve calendar categories, please?
Thanks a lot, and apologies to everybody for posting on the Digest a question which is not Epoc (or at least Symbian) - related.

Subject: Commercial program for sorting tasks
To Itamar,
Subject: Commercial program
Hi All,
> What I need is a program where I can enter each job in a database with differet tasks set like "write a contract", "receive deposit", "details of the function" etc. etc. and enter dates the tasks have to be done. The difficulty is that I than would like the program to be able to sort the data in a variety of different ways, like per job, per task, per different due dates, and if at all possible also connect to my diary.
Couldn't you manage with the inbuilt apps ?
I think first of all of EPOC Agenda. Your need is to be able to sort your items per job and per task, and also per due date. In Agenda you have got exactly what you need : you can assign a job to a task list, a task to a symbol (or the reverse), and you have naturally a due date. The list view and the search function give you all the sorting you need. And no need to connect the database with the diary because you are already in the diary !
The only issue is to remember to what symbol you assign each task (or job). If you use many symbols a macro could help to do that.
What do you think of this idea ?
