Elizabeth,
Big agenda files do cause problem in general. I never went above a 128Mb card myself. I would suggest a card reader on the PC could be used to move all the contents of the 256Mb card to the 1Gb card and then you work with the smaller card. The FAT file system was never really designed for the huge disk sizes of today. Also the old old psion has to juggle memory around and the big agenda won't help.
I gave up my 5 Mx (I have 3 ones call needing screencable repair) beause the b&w screen was too hard for me to see. Maybe I should sell them on. I own two Nokia 9500s, one as a spare and love the bright, clear screen.

Hi Chris,
The specs on the I-mate Ultimate 7150 look pretty good. It would be interesting to see whether the keyboard is anywhere near as good as a Psion keyboard.
< I wonder if it is too much to hope that it won't crash all the time & run out of memory?
I have a Dell Axim running WM 2003 SE, and find that it is very stable - far better than a Palm, not quite as good as a Psion. So my guess is that WM 6 should be pretty solid.
It's weird that screens, processors, wireless and multimedia capabilities are constantly improving on new machines, while keyboards and battery life go from bad to worse....

Even the downside of running Windows Mobile 6 might not be so bad when compared to Nokia's choice of Series60 for the E90...

I've had similar thoughts, but for me I expect my next phone will be a HTC Kaiser. Check out the PDAdb website on this link which will show a side-by-side comparison between the 7150 and the Kaiser.
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer&id1=733&id2=721
For me the big difference is the size - the 7150 is simply too big. Not Psion 5 big, but big by today's standards. Now with that size, you do get a bigger keyboard and a VGA screen so it's not all wasted, but from what I've read to date, both the screen and keyboard on the Kaiser are perfectly ok and it also has on-board GPS. You also have to consider the considerably bigger battery draw of a screen with exactly 4 times the pixels - can the extra resolution be seen in a 97 mm screen? The Nokia E90 is also a lot smaller that the 7150.
I would agree with your analysis of Windows 6 - evolutionary, which should mean it a well degugged Windows Mobile 5. This also means any WM 5 application should work on WM6 without any questions.
Kind Regards,
Alan

Subject: mbook screen problem
Many thanks to all those who pointed me in the right direction in order to fix my mbook's failing screen cable connection.
This morning I carefully took it apart and placed some paper under the screen cable clamp. Everything is like new - the touch screen is accurate again, and the screen doesn't keep fading/flashing/disappearing. I wonder how long the fix will last. I hope it's years ;)

Re.: Tom Tom 6 - I have been in contact with TomTom and the answer was to rename the folder 2577 on the card to something else after which indeed it will stop opening up automatically after each soft reset. The UK map works a lot better than the older one, specially in corners. With the old one the cursor stopped moving until you were well around the corner and than jumped to the new position which gave difficulties when you had to turn off again straightaway. With the new map it gradually moves through the corner and you see immediately the next instruction on the map as well.
Best regards,
Itamar

Re.: I-mate Ultimate 7150 - For me the main question is as always, whether the key/thumb-board is good enough for fast(er) typing than the tumbboards we have got at the moment. Windows WM6 does not worry me, I currently use WM5 and it is really not that bad. My back-up program automatically does a reset after creating the back-up at 4 am so maybe that is why it runs better for me.

Subject: Nokia --Tom Tom compatibility ?
My apologies if this becomes too long winded but I don't know how else to
explain it all.
Some time ago I purchased (from the son of a listee) a Series 7 which came
complete with Tom Tom maps for Europe.
Now the Series 7 did not meet my expectations, a too large to be considered
a palm top and b rechargeable batteries don't suit me as well as the
disposable AA of the series 5 Plus the Series 7 needed greater modifications
than I am capable of doing my self or having done here in Australia in order
to obtain WiFi access.
However, now a Nokia 9500 takes care of most of what my old series 5 used to
do, (and perhaps a bit more) particularly after I saw a demonstration of a
Nokia Communicator on "The Eagle" (a Danish Crime Series on TV here in OZ)
the "baddie" in order to see where his wife was located opened his
communicator and after a bit of fiddling around with a map and GPS on the
Communicator he soon had her located. I have now briefly checked the
internet for Nokia Maps and found what perhaps was a suitable site with free
maps for Nokia phones at http://www.nokia-asia.com/A4482324 but not for a
9500
OK Enough of the preamble down to the Question... as I cannot download any
maps for a Nokia 9500 and only for a Nokia 6110 could I load the Series 7
Tom Tom Map that came with the Series 7 into a SD for the Nokia 9500 or is
there a compatibility problem there too? The tom tom box says that it is
suitable for devices running EPOC Psion Revo/5/5MX Netbook series 7 and
Compatibles
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Bob H
PS As we are heading to the UK in aprox 2 weeks time is there somewhere in
either London or Glasgow or any where in between that I could take the
Series 7 to have it upgraded to WiFi access? OR it may not be worth it, the
screen of the Series 7 has taken on a pinky orange colour that leads me to
suspect it may be on the way out.
TIA again
Bob H
