Subject: Blackberry 8300

I decided that I again needed a mobile e-mail facility. In the past I've used a Nokia 6210 on Orange Everyday 50, and a 5mx.
Sadly this option is now longer available. So I've just got a Blackberry 8300. Cost per month for the BB and calls is about the same as ED 50 and the Nokia. But not the cost of the 5mx!
The BB hardware is very good bearing in mind it's small size. Unfortunately, the software is extremely poor.
As an example, quoted text can't be edited. Delete all or none. Guess that's how many operate anyway!!!!
It's possible to connect to a desktop like a Psion. But although picture files can be transferred both ways, it's impossible to transfer text files.
This is a major problem. The only way is to send the text as an e-mail.
But when it vibrates and makes a noise as an e-mail arrives' it's a good investment.
