Hi all,

I don't know if everyone has read this article (who is interested) in the Nokia E90:

It's been really fascinating reading the different opinons on the internet about this device,
some of the pro nokia fan club rave about it but many others point out how dumbed down
this device is with it's ordinary phone operating system rather than something designed for a communicator.

Even over at allaboutsymbian there has been the odd critical comment:

It's a lovely looking device, shame it's so flawed.

Regards,
Mike Dyer.

Greetings tamar,

I suppose you could do more or less the same with a phone like the Qtek or similar one from different make and havemuch better software included. It could work out more expensive in usage but I don't really know that.

Yes you are probably correct. Price was a prime factor in my choice. I only got it for e-mails on an e-mail only Vodafone tariff, as various Psions can't be improved on for a general computer.

It appears that although I can place a back up onto a Windows PC, it is not in a readable format.

However the only way to put text on or off the BB is to receive or send an e-mail.  A major problem that others need to know.
Best regards,

Alan

Subject: Dual SIM card

Hi all

After my long last post, the next day my O2 exec failed, the mini USB socket broke away from the print, and fell inside the unit. I have managed to refit and I am now able to charge the unit, but it will no longer connect to the PC. PC says unrecognised USB device.

Not a huge problem as I can sync via bluetooth. A bit fiddly to set up but works really well.

But I thought it would be a good time to upgrade change. So I bought a UBiQUiO 501  from Expansys, but it would not see my dual SIM adaptor. It said no SIM inserted.  So I returned it, and bought from ebay and Orange SPV 5000 (same as O2 exec) but windows 6 installed. Again this phone would not see my dual SIM adaptor  it reads the Sim card in position 1 but would not swap cards. On my current Exec  the dual SIM adaptor  puts a programme on the unit that allows you to select the SIM you want.  Is there anybody else out there with a dual SIM adaptor that they have got working OK with Windows Mobile 6.

Kind regards

Ashley

Hi All,

I would like to add to Lorenzo's E90 exprience with my E61.  I bought theE61 phone with the understanding that it's unlying software and capabilitieswere more or less the same.

Unfortunately, the office package with E61 is the same as E90 and prettyuseless.  Additional versions bought (Mobi Office) also turned out to beshort in capabilities - even the most basic such as copy-paste outside ofthe application.

I cannot even recommend the E61 phone to anyone.  It is incredibly slow andslugging.  I have 1000+ contacts and it takes literally 10 seconds to openeach contact.  This is a major problem with the phone even after applyingall known patches/updates.

Apart from contacts, everything else is very slow such as menu navigationwithin the phone itself.  These are definitely well thought but poorly made, implemented and supported phones certainly no replacements to the Psionseries.

Thanks,
Ananya
