Hi all,
many thanks to you all for your replies, especially to Chris, Eric, Itamar, Kees, Pieter.
I refreshed the battery by fully discharging and fully charging many times. So the battery works now 7 1/2 hours. With this value one can live.

>I thought I had been able to access links in Opera 5 that now are crashing Opera and generating a Reason Code User, Reason Number 23 error message. I cannot find out what this means. Anyone know?
Sorry for the delay, I have been away. I have a pdf called "EPOC panic codes.pdf" that says: "Panic code 23 - Cannot initialise with zero messages in the queue". This means nothing to me - it may (or may not) help you and may, or may not, be the correct code you are receiving.
I also have two Excel files entitled "Errors.xls" and "Panics.xls" - both workbooks run to many pages and have many error and panic codes numbered "23". Very few mean anything to me, though some have plain English explanations.
I can send any, or all three to your email address if it would help. Reply in the Digest.
Having said all that it may be that the web sites you are accessing now use a version of Java that is too new for your version of Opera. I have recently had this problem with a site that has been updated to include a Java news headline ticker - it now crashes Opera and means a reset of the Psion. I tried it with Psion Web and it works fine; Web starts the applet and then fails to initialise it but the browser continues ok, with a bit of a delay whilst it spits out the offending Java applet. Might be worth a try.
Best

Subject: Netbook battery
Hi all.
A short comment on the Netbook batteries from Sita Shop.
They are not Psion batteries, but labeled LaptopsForLess.com. The original ones are 1500 mAh, these are 1800 mAh. They do not fit as good as the Psion ones. I have experienced a couple of times (in a year and a half) that the contact between the battery and the Netbook was lost, with a drained backup battery, and hard reset as a result.

Subject: netbook batteries - nokia 9500
Thanks Chris,
That is most helpful. - Would the standard charging cable for the netbook's battery be the same cable for charging the netbook Pro's battery? - or would I have to upgrade the cable as well?
Off the topic - I've been keeping an eye on the Nokias 9500 model for some time now - reason why I haven't taken that leap yet is because I really have no intention of leaving the Psion's world for many reasons. However I would still be interested in this 9500 model if I would be able to connect my netbook to the 9500 via IR Port
ex.
Making and designing PDF files on my netbook then beaming them over to the 9500 to send them out as faxes - can that be done? (sending n receiving faxes r most important for my business, not the efaxing route)
Can a word n sheet file be transfer too n fro between the two units, without a mess be created? I do remember reading somewhere that the 9200 model was able to save files in a psion format or a MS format (almost like a builtin nConvert program)- does the 9500 have the same capablities
Would I be able to to print to fax in any program from the 9500 model? ex. word, sheet ect. print as a fax and also save them as a psion file an beam the over to my netbook?
I really hope u can help me with these question, No one has ever really answered these exact question, and that is the only reason why I never purchase a 9500 unit! - My netbook's/5mx's are priceless and just about flawless in every area - I would love to have this 9500 if it would keep my PSIONs ALIVE
Sorry about the long-winded questions, becoming desperate for answers. Peace, Donald

Re.: HTC TyTn II or Touch or Symbian - Welcome to the world of WM. I made this step from the P910i about 1-1/2 years ago and agree with you. It is not 100% perfect but very stable and I use WM5 on the Qtek 9100. I don't have 3G, GPS or FM radio either but I do have a bluetooth GPS in the car that connects to the Qtek without problems and I use TomTom software. There is indeed tons of stuff available and I have downloaded many free programs that are very very useful and of high quality, as well as som shareware and a few commercial programs (see my list a fe digests ago). However, the keyboard is more a thumbboard and not useful for longer texts. I still use my netBook for several tasks, amongst others the ABP bank program, the Money program and a few others (like writing to the digest and handling my turns as operator).
Best regards,
Itamar
