Subject: Asus EEE
Dear all,
The Asus EEE PC does indeed give me the netBook feeling when I read the specs. Weird OS <G>, very small footprint, a full suite of office tools readily installed and a robust design.
I am a bit surprised, though, that Asus tries to market such a device.
The machines that were just in between the PDA and the all-singing-all-dancing laptop have never been a big success.
It is also logical to market it as a device for emerging countries, but the Malaysian Schoolbook was supposed to be such a device for Malaysian school children and that did not work out either.
Anyway, perhaps the price will change all that now.
Unfortunately, I did not find a shop in Holland, Belgium, France or Germany that really delivers the EEE and keeps the price under the EUR 300 mark.
Any suggestions ?
Yours truly,
Thomas van der Zijden

Subject: 9500/netbook
Well these answers stink!
" Does this mean u can only create faxes using Nokias messageing program only?
Correct.
and
Do u mean that the Nokias Word/Sheet program has no option to print it as a
fax?
Correct.
I meant (you can't) print-to-fax from the Psion *using* the Nokia 9500
as a fax modem.
From what I think I understand from your feedback is I won't be able to use
the 9500 as an IR modem, is that true?
You can (apparently) use it as an IR modem - just not a fax capable one."
Want to upgrade my phone, but can't do without faxing from the
netbook.(efaxing is not an option for the my type of business)
