hello,
Can someone who has actually tried out Vista - or bought a Vista-running PC - confirm that indeed Psion PsiWin does NOT run on Vista? Can someone with he same experience please clarify whether Nokia PC Suite works well with Vista?

To Alan Morris
Thanks for the advice to keep it simple. It always works! Files transfered ok.
Out of interest I later hard reset my MX Pro and Comms works as as well. I am still playing with my new toy and may have upset it.
To All:
On another issue: 5MX Pro and Nokia N73 Infra red link for email eyc.
I have analysed the Etel log on my 5MX and the failure to get the N73 modem to work seems to revolve around an error when the 5mx script gives the instruction AT+CNMI which refers to SMS messages. The command works on an old Nokia 6310i but is not the right one for the  N73 modem. No solutions offered but this may be of interest to those with better programing skills.

Subject: Unable to connect Makoto PC

I'm trying to connect a new Mako to my PC - and getting nowhere.
I can't register the machine because I always fail to connect.
I"ve had this problem before, but cannot remember how it got solved - and am not sure I ever knew why or how I finally succeeded.
I've set it up for 115,200 speed after failing at the "maximum attainable" setting and I've tried various COMM settings, all to no avail.
The two machines are definitely connected by the cable from the Mako cradle - and I've been all through the Help file about how to connect the two.
Can anyone suggest what may be amiss?
I would very much like to get the backed up files off the PC and onto the new Mako.
