The problem Giorgio has seems common. As I indicated the other day the problem is in the  internal script in the Psion. This issues a AT+CNMI command to the Nokia which it returns as an error which terminates the process. Clearly Nokia are not using "standard"  (sic) AT commands. Some sort of patch is needed to overcome this.
Any ideas.
John

Hi Franco,
Did you initially have any problems getting your 9300i to work with vista. I have tried many times and can't get my new PC to recognize my E62 or my 9300.  It looks like they are not connected at all even though they are connected by cable or Bluetooth and have installed and uninstalled the latest PC Suite many, many times and it still doesn't recognize them.  I did have a great idea from one of our members which I haven't tried yet but I will, as I just got back home from being gone for a couple weeks and that is to make sure my machine is set correctly.
Thanks,
Bob

Someone said "keep it simple".
I have changed the Modem setting on my 5MX Pro to "fixed line" rather than "mobile" and sending and receiving using XJmail works a treat even over GPRS.
Psion mail works on receive.

John

To Jean Guillonneau  and Bert Blankestijn
Merci beaucoup à Jean en dank u well aan Bert for the reply on Vista-PsiWin compatibility. Also apologies to Jean for having forgotten (and not having checked beforehand) that he had already commented on this point on the Digest. In issue 1062, Jean had also addressed one query on a 512 MB Sandisk card, which played funny tricks on my old MC 218 (the clone to the 5MX). It works fine on my netBook and will try it on another MC 218. CF cards on Psions are not an exact science.
Best regards to everybody and thanks again to both Jean and Bert.

Re.: Faxes - You have of course the possibility to use a third party service to receive faxes which are than sent as a TIF file to your mailbox. I use one in the UK already for many years (www.yac.com) and as I only use it to receive faxes and not to send them I never paid them anything at all. Just for receiving it is a great service.
Best regards,
Itamar

Re.: Sergio Alisi Macros - Did you try p5science ?  I think it is the best place to find anything about the Psions regarding software.
Best regards,
Itamar

Hi all,
in the last year we're daily getting 10 - 30 bouncing mails with the message, that the following addresses not found or don't like the sender or that the mailbox is full or other one.
I think, this is because we are sending not from the digest address, but from our private ones. On the other hand, it can be, that one or another address really doesn't exist.
To avoid further bouncings, I would like to ask the following subscribers to reply to this message with only one subject "ADMIN, please continue sending the digest".
You can send the reply to the digest address or to my private address<address truncated>
In case of your reply we will not touch your subscribing and we will ignore your bouncing mails.
However, the addresses not sending a reply will be unsubscribed up to the end of Nov.

Did you google for "sergio alisi" ? You will find 38 entries, in which you can find many of Sergio's macros.
