Thanks to all who replied with information on Sergio Alisi Macros.  I had already looked in most of the places suggested, but I cannot find Sergio's Scroller macro mentioned in Digest 230.

I have written a macro "EasyReader" for the Nokia 9500/9300 and want to improve it to include automatic scrolling.  My first attempts have been not smooth, to say the least.  I was hoping that looking at Scroller would give me some ideas.  If someone has this macro, preferably with OPL source, I would appreciate a copy.

Best wishes,
Martin O'Neill

Subject: File conversion from Revo Plus to Nokia E90

Hello all,

Well I finally will make the plunge. After 8 years of running my life on a revo/revo plus/mako I will be switching to a Nokia E90. I just can't keep up with the battery failures any more etc.

Any tips for converting the files to a format usable on the E90 ? I am particularly interetsted in Jotter, Data, Word, Sheet, Contacts and Agenda.

Regards,

David

These are now available at

https://www.drmcommonsolutions.com/Psion/plbeam.aspx
without charge per a 2005 press release from Psiloc.I have downloaded plBeam from jere and it works like dream with a USB2 / Irda plugin dongle from Maplin. This may assist new Psion users like myself. The 5MX Pro is the best bit of kit I have used in years.

John

Just seen the Pocket Surfer2 in the editorial of an IT magazine.  The picture suggests that it looks similar to a Psion 5mx with a colour screen.  The link given is www.firebox.com .  Looking there, one finds lots of toys, so I guess that's also a toy?

Cost including a cellphone account for one year, with nothing more to pay, sounds to good to be true!

Re.: Vista backwards compatible - Just a thought. Whoever tries to connect with VISTA, do you still have a serial connection on your PC or not ?  Psiwin will only work via a serial connection and if your computer does not have one you will need a USB to serial converter. There are many available but not all work. Some years ago I got a Belkin one working very well but others than reported problems with the Belkin. As said, just a thought.

Best regards,

Itamar
