John thanks for your comments.
I've been reading about this devise in other places. My concern with
installing Windows is that a non-embedded version would trash the SSD
hard causing a short life.
One person has reported that the short life of a SSD due to continual
writing is no longer a problem.
Any thoughts.

Subject: Loose keyboard
Thanks very much to Simon and Chris for their useful advice.
For anyone else who suffers from the keyboard springing out of the
slide, Simon's advice works (though his link went to a Google navigation
page), with the added direction that, once having removed the hinge pins
and brought the keyboard forward, one needs a blade to lift the edge of
the plastic 'floor' under the keyboard, and then the lip on the bottom
of the keyboard can be married with the edge of said 'floor' along which
it slides.
Kind regards
Philip Carlisle

Subject: REF: Corruption!
Hello Melvin,
* Start all over with a hard reset?
Yes, that's the best solution.
* Also, the D drive has accumulated a couple of files that I cannot * erase. I get the message "BAD NAME" when I attempt to do so. Does * this mean that I should copy the other files and folders onto my PC * and reformat D as well?
The same answer as above.
Regards
Kees.

Many ISPs will block outbound SMTP (port 25) traffic unless its coming
from their mail servers (generally to combat spambot virus-infested PCs.
They should however, allow you to relay through their mail server instead (most do though some require you to have an account and use SMTP
authentication).
As someone who worked for an ISP, Im just telling you what the rationale
is behind blocking direct SMTP from a user and a possible workaround.
(In our case, we implemented SMTP authentication and added port 587 as
another port to use for sending).

Generally, you WILL want to buy an SDHC card if its bigger than 2Gb. The only issue is that SD cards will work in both SD and SDHC slots/readers, but SDHC cards ONLY work in SDHC-compatible devices. Caveat emptor.

Does anyone know the current email address of the author of this or how to get a registration code.
Also has anyone a Street Planner program for France that they would like to sell?

Subject: Loose keyboard,

Re.: Loose keyboard - There is no other solution for DIY than to try and push it back. You have to try and somehow angle it and try to bend the keyboard slightly upwards in the middle. Try using a small knife or similar utensil to flip it underneath into the groove. Success !

Re.: Corruption! - I think you will have no choice but to reformat the C drive. Don't you have a back-up of the C drive from before it got corrupt ? If not, you will have to reinstal your software. Sorry and success.

Subject: Advantage 7501,

Re.: Advantage 7501 - Hi Moshe, good to hear from you again. I have no experience with the 7501 but if you would like to continue using a Symbian / Epoc machine I would advice you to try and get a 2nd hand mBook or netBook. Although they are larger and not really a handhold machine you can carry them along and you will get a colour screen with all your "old" functions from the 5MX and software working.
Best regards,
Itamar
