Subject: RE: Asus Eee PC
I received my Asus Eee Pc and I think its great. I don't know, at least at this time, why I would want to put Windows on it. The email and web browsing works fine. I connect my 4gb thumb drive to see if the info on it would work on my Asus Eee as it was all Windows stuff on my thumb drive. All my word files, rosters, Excel stuff, PDF files, photos and every thing that I have tried so far, its transparent of what OS is in it.
I am very happy with it and I know will leave it Linux. I have not used Linux before but if we can use our EPOC machines we can easily use these. As a matter of fact I have been using Psions since my first Original Series three and on up to the Netbook and Series 7 and so far I don't find any learning curve---that is not to say I won't have to figure stuff out but so far it works very easy.
I did call the Asus and ask them about the SD cards and it is has been tested and recommended so far for up to the 8 GB SDHC. They told me that it will take the SDCH cards just fine but at this time they will only recommend up top 8 GB. They did not recommend MMC cards.
Thanks,
Bobby

I have an S5mx and a Psion 7 upgraded to Netbook. Both working well but not used for some time. You may have either or both for payment by donation to a health related charity such as Great Ormond Street Hospital or Macmillans or cancer research in the UK. The items are located in London England and I shall make sure that they are still in good working order if you are interested.
