Hi Keith,

I am in fact using PSIWIN version 2.3.3. Reference to 2.2 was a typo.

My problem has been finding a converter that would talk to PSIWIN under Windows XP as well as to hyperterminal through the comms application.

This converter works properly with XP.

Regards

John

The last 5 or 6 times I've had to put in new batteries on  my 5mx, the following has occurred. When I look at Menu/Informatin/Battery, the indicator shows exactly what it was before changing batteries, i.e., still low. After doing a soft reset, the indicator shows the batteries are full - back to normal. I've checked the new batteries before putting them in and they are fully charged.

Is this an indication of more problems ahead?

I have recently procured not one but two netbooks -
one is just fine -opera is a little slow and awkward on my home wi-fi but does work.

the other is an M-book (sita sticker on bottom)  and comes alive on education screen and doesn't react to any screen presses.  I'm hoping that someone on list would be able to email me the OS.IMG file so I can load it to my CF card and use as needed.

  Many thanks in advance

Hi all Itamar asked for any recommendations for a new handheld device. I have gone through the Psion range 3. 3a. 5. 7. Nokia communicator 9500 O2 Exec. I now have a HTC TYTN II and can not praise it highly enough.

It runs WM6 and is very stable, after the WM5 edition.  I have TomTom 6, and have used it both walking in Lisbon and driving to Lisbon. Also Microsoft reader, Metro, Pocket Informant, Pocket TV, Pointui, SMS Scheduler, Spb Backup,  Spb Finance, TCPMP, and many, many other programmes & many, many Games, I have a 6 Gig  Micro SD card with about 30 CD's on.

It Syncs flawlessly with my PC for email, Calendar. And transfer of files and programs, music, the Camera is 3 M pixel and is fine. Its 3G GPS built in Bluetooth, WiFi. All in a small package.

Another useful feature is the you can change the sim card without removing the battery.

The HTC home screen gives all the information required, and access to any programme you need by touching the screen twice.

There are hundreds of freeware programmes and tweaks available for the Windows Mobile platform look at http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/
Good luck in your search

Kind Regards

Ashley
