All

I have recently put my Psion netbook and wireless card on EBAY - 190218929844 for sale as I now have an EEE PC that I use daily.

Please free to ask any questions otherwise please feel free to bid.

Thanks,
Craig

Re.: OK to send eee questions to EPOC digest? - The Digest opened itself up to other products a long time ago and that why we change the name to just "The Digest" without any other specification. Sure, we can discuss the Eee and other machines as well.

Personally, I got myself an Ipod Touch for my birthday and although it's PDA facilities are  still in an "infants" state the interface is truly remarkable and once I am used to it and it will have grown in software due to the opening up by Apple to third party developers I might well get an Iphone instead. However, like you with the Eee, it is a steep learning curve to get to grips with a totally different operating system.

Re.: Nokia e90 vs. Psion 5mx as PDA - Kit, I totally emphasize with you and I moved away from the Symbian platform several years ago. i still use toe Qtek 9100 but hardly for spreadsheets or word files. It is mainly a phone, agenda and notes machines with some extras like TomTom, weather, etc. If, as I wrote aboeve, my move to the Ipod Touch will be succesful I will try out a thin phone again that is just a phone and nothing much more. It would be nice not to walk around with a "stone" on my belt but a little phone in my pocket.

Best regards,

Itamar

Re.: for kids that have small fingers - Without wanting to expand about the Ipod Touch, the keyboard on the screen is truly amazing. I don't have small fingers but as good as every touch is correct, somehow it knows the letter you want. Also, now I know where PocketKeyboard has got it's idea from to show the letter you press enlarged ....

Re.: things that I miss from the netBook - I still use my netbook as well, but mainly for emailing and the handling of this digest. Most other functions have been taken over by more up to date machines. For example, in the past I traveled for business and connected with my Psions to the internet for emailing. Today I need a laptop to use logmein to work straight on the computer at work from away and I need a wifi connection in most hotels. They don't have cable connections anymore. My netBook or 5MX were cumbersome to use in the car with a GPS system and Routeplanner, now I use my Qtek with TomTom Navigator and it sits neatly in a small holder. I could go on but won't. Time moves on and the Psions are slowly moving to the past. Sooner or later they will "die" on us or just become obsolete. Such is life.

Best regards,

Itamar

Re.: TomTom RoutePlanner, v3.0 - As mentioned a few digests ago, delete the .ini file and I think it will work again.

John, your problem might be the same if you copied all the files over from one machine to the other or from an external disk to the internal one.

Best regards,

Itamar
